VOLTEQ Equipment reached the pinnacle of its inaugural 2-month 15,000 mile roadshow this March, exhibiting at the ConExpo in Las Vegas, NV where a record 139,000 attendees gathered to see new equipment and technology serving the construction industry.
Electrification was a central theme at the show! VOLTEQ’s booth was highly sought out for its fully electric platforms designed from conception to deliver performance and reliability with commercially viable run time and minimal maintenance. Many other brands introduced adaptations to existing combustion powered platforms to introduce an electric option, or futuristic electric concepts that may set a course for longer term commercialization.

SKY 1000 - Efficient and Sustainable
The SKY 1000 mini track loader surprised and inspired contractors and dealers when they realized the machine offers run time of up to 6-8 hours while performing typical loader work, and re-charges in up to 5 hours using a built-in charger that plugs into a typical single phase outlet.
- “So I can work a full shift and literally charge it next to my smart phone at night, how awesome!”
- “And I can plug into a 220V single phase to charge even faster . . . that works for us!”
When discussing the advantages of designing the SKY 1000 from a clean sheet of paper the credibility of the machine’s performance became clear. Efficiencies that help achieve battery longevity were gained by using optimal components and a configuration that had room for them, without the constraints of adapting electrification to an existing combustion powered machine. Additionally, power density, reliability, and compact size of the SKY 1000’s lithium ion battery present superior performance and maintenance advantages over lead acid batteries. Lithium ion batteries do not require regular maintenance, simplifying daily inspections and reducing risk of problems associated with overlooking lead acid maintenance steps.

Introducing the Future of Construction
The SKY 2000 mini track loader may have been the biggest draw to VOLTEQ’s booth, prominently displayed at the front of the exhibit and looking ready to take on some serious work! This new addition to the SKY machine category is rated to lift 2,000-lbs , and like the SKY 1000, be operated from the rear stand-on operator platform or by remote control from up to 160-ft away, providing operators with valuable flexibility, safety and visibility!
The SKY 2000 will begin field testing later this year with availability to dealers planned by Q4 of 2024.

Quiet, Efficient, and Powerful
The CQT 3300 Quad Track concept machine turned heads and drew insightful contractor feedback! Four independent oscillating tracks driven by independent electric motors, 3,300-lb ROC, a 360-degree camera display inside the cab for unparalleled operator visibility, the option to change tracks out for wheels, and remote control, tested the normal expectations of a skid steer. By designing from the ground up this machine introduces concepts that optimize power efficiency and battery longevity, delivers on performance, and brings new ideas to light in operator convenience. The CQT 3300 illustrates the innovation and vision VOLTEQ has for electrifying compact construction equipment in the years ahead.
